Hi, wonderful people! We all know exercise is good for our wellbeing so we’re clocking up the Ks together and we thought we’d make this a collective virtual challenge to get from Land’s End to John O’Groats by 2021! We’ll even pop in to the Women Out West Centre on the way!
This can be done alone but together in spirit, or it can be done with friends or family. It can be done on a treadmill or you can skip it, jog it, swim it, skateboard it…… just log your excercise and help us do something positive together.

Stepping up with #TeamWoW – Oct 1, 2020 – Dec 31, 2020 BST
Team Challenge – Run, Walk, Hike, Virtual Run, Ride, Virtual Ride, Swim 2,000 Kilometers in 92 days. Let’s see how many kms we can clock up between us virtually or together (socially distanced of course!) and find our way from Land’s End to John O’Groats.
There are lots of ways of signing up – here is guidance from Challenge Hound which means we can all record our kms towards our total.
– If you have Strava or Facebook you can sign up with Challenge Hound using either of them.
Challenge Hound syncs automatically with Strava. If you log activities with Strava, your challenge status will be updated automatically and there is no need to manually enter anything. A basic Strava account is free. If you are using Fitbit, Apple Watch, Garmin, MyFitnessPal, or another app, you can connect those to Strava too. Once you set up the connection, activities will automatically sync to Challenge Hound.
– If you don’t have Strava or Facebook – you can manually enter activity directly into Challenge Hound.
– You’ll receive an email from Challenge Hound after each activity with your current status in the challenge. BUT please note that although we will LOVE you clocking loads of Kilometers and we can all enjoy checking out the dashboard, we EQUALLY just want everyone to enjoy adding something to the total from a few steps to marathons! This isn’t about leaderboards – it’s a collective “let’s take positive steps challenge”.
We’re going to give t-shirts out to all those who contribute a total of over 15 kms during the challenge.
This is open to anyone who supports what we do at WoW and would like to walk alongside us through these strange days. If you do get any sponsorship or can donate a few ££ towards Women Out West work and running costs, please do so here. Thank you millions from us all xxx
